FLOW II

An 8-Session Series with Teacher Jing

In this module, we will build upon the fundamentals learned in Jing Tai Chi Flow I – the 10 Chen-style, circular movements. These movements helped strengthen the legs, restore balance, remove blockages and strengthen the flow of chi (qi).

In Jing Tai Chi Flow II we will bring more focus to strengthening the dantian. The dantian is a field of energy in your lower abdomen that houses your vital life force, or essence. This reservoir has the power to nourish and sustain you. Learning to strengthen the dantian will give you a dependable resource – one that you can tune in to for stability, strength, and resiliency.

We will also learn movements to improve blood circulation, a cornerstone for health and vitality from a Chinese medicine perspective. Chi generates and moves blood; it infuses blood with life.

On the other hand, blood nourishes chi and provides a container for this vital life force. They work together seamlessly to give you good health.

In Jing Tai Chi Flow II we harness the relationship between qi and blood through unique, graceful movements to bring you greater flexibility, stability, and endurance.

Teacher Jing also wishes to share a deeper understanding about how we find true happiness. She will explore how we can live in harmony with each other and with the planet, as well as what it means to have good health.

Jing Tai Chi also integrates some simple but profound life philosophy.

What does each session involve?

Movement.  In Flow I you learned beautiful circular movements, coordinated with the breath and simple footwork.

In Flow II we will build on those fundamentals and learn an elegant, graceful sequence of movements. Each session will involve 45-50 minutes (except for the 2 days when we also have a nutrition talk.)

Q&A: You will have an opportunity to ask Teacher Jing questions after the movement portion of the class. She may introduce or address a particular topic.

5-10 minutes

Nutrition is also an important part of Jing Tai Chi.  We will offer two 30 minute sessions during our 8-week training. Learn how proper nutrition can affect your health, energy and well-being.

In Flow II we will discuss healthy dietary fats.

Quiet the heart to heal the body.

Healing is easy… but we make it so complicated.

We worry. We wish. We want.

One thousand thoughts pull us in every direction.

There is really only one thought to follow.

When the heart is quiet, we attain all that we yearn for.
