FLOW III

Yang Style 24 Form Jing Tai Chi

Module One

An 8-Session Series with Teacher Jing

In this series of four, eight-week modules, Teacher Li Jing will introduce yang style tai chi.

This type of practice is famously known for its gentle, continuous movements. They are evenly paced, soft, and elegant, flowing from one movement or posture to the next.

Flow III will consist of 4 modules, and each module will include 8, 1-hour live Zoom classes. (A total of 32 classes.)

Classes will be recorded for those who cannot make them live.

In these modules you will learn 24 beautiful movements and postures, as well as the graceful transitions between them.

With each class, you can build flexibility, control, and endurance. And as you learn to move with a united mind and body, you gain clarity, focus, and inner calm.

Join Teacher Jing as she guides your posture and movements. She offers individualized feedback via Zoom to help you build proper form. (This is optional for those who want it.)

In addition to 8 classes with Teacher Jing, Pamela Grant, L.Ac, NTP will offer 2 talks on nutrition. The focus in Flow III: Module One will be on dietary protein, as well as common problems people have when digesting protein.

About Jing Tai Chi

Through Jing Tai Chi, you tune into the the energies of yin and yang. The unique experience of connecting with these opposing energies is our ability to hold the opposites, yielding a state of balance.

Jing Tai Chi helps you tune in to the flow of your own life—to know the rhythms of your life. With regular practice, you are able to ride the ups and downs of life with greater ease.

Jing Tai Chi also integrates some simple but profound life philosophy.

Learn in a relaxed manner and train for real life. When you treasure a movement, you treasure the moment. In this, you learn to treasure daily life!

What does each session involve?

Movement.  In Flow I you learned beautiful circular movements, coordinated with the breath and simple footwork.

In Flow II we will build on those fundamentals and learn an elegant, graceful sequence of movements. Each session will involve 45-50 minutes (except for the 2 days when we also have a nutrition talk.)

Q&A: You will have an opportunity to ask Teacher Jing questions after the movement portion of the class. She may introduce or address a particular topic.

5-10 minutes

Nutrition is also an important part of Jing Tai Chi.  We will offer two 30 minute sessions during our 8-week training. Learn how proper nutrition can affect your health, energy and well-being.

In Flow III we will troubleshoot dietary protein. This will be followed by a talk on protein digestion, as well as common problems with digestion.

30 minutes (2 sessions only)
